課程概述 |
本課程主要目的首先在使學生膫解不同植物荷爾蒙之生理,包括其合成、代謝及在植物生長發育所扮演之角色。同時並探討植物荷爾蒙在農藝上作為生長調節劑之應用。另外本課程亦將由近代分子遺傳學(molecular genetics)的角度,說明植物內生控制生長發育之機制及外在環境如何影響植物之生長。 |

課程目標 |
The completion of this course will enable students to:
1. Write the chemical structures of important plant hormones and relate this to their chemical activity.
2. Explain how to conduct a bioassay to detect small quantities of plant hormones.
3. Understand the biosynthesis, regulation, transport and degradation pathways of various plant hormones.
4. Know the importance of plant hormones in the physiological aspects of plant development.
4. Understand how plant hormones can be used as growth regulators in crop production.
5. How molecular genetics approach (mutagenesis and mutant analysis) is applied in plant growth and development.
6. Explain the gene interaction in controlling embryo development and flower formation.
7. Describe the mode of light action in plant development and biological clock.
8. Discuss different plant hormones interaction during senescence.
9. Understand the role of different plant hormones in cell division (cycle) and differentiation.
